There is no need to quit at anything simply because you weren't the first to do it. True devotion and unadulterated belief in WHY you do what you do will move you forward, in spite of the accomplishments or failures of others.
The highest realms of success are reserved for those who's compelling beliefs are more about other people (for their good or even their detriment) than about personal gain.
